Gift of the Magi

I rewrote The Gift of the Magi as if it were penned, or revised by (se)O Henry.
I kill me sometimes.
It is the first day of a new year - great things in store for sure. I'll come back for a recap of last year in a couple days.
But The Gift of the Magi was my belated Christmas gift to the anonymous whatever. I encourage you to read it, as it will likely change you into a better person, more willing to stop and help ease the suffering of your fellow man. I can't promise that of course, but I can believe.
